Orfeas Musical Instrument Project
This project takes place in a small village approximately one hour from Athens, Orfeas is a local community organisation. In Greece making traditional musical instruments is a ‘grandfather skill’ inherited through the ages and rarely shared outside a family. In Greece people with these skills will always have work. Your work place is right next to the apartment where you will live and you will usually work in the workshops alongside other short-term volunteers from different countries. Bluehill youth culture
Blue Hill has long experience in working with disadvantaged youth from the suburbs of Stockholm. The activities will be based on methods used in the local community "Youth to youth" where older youngsters are role models for younger ones. The main aim of the project is to create a positive environment full of activities suppressing unwanted behavior. Blue hill work with many activities so the youngsters have a lot of "action" in his/her spare time. This project takes place in Solborg, in the southern part of Norway, about 1 hour north of Oslo. Solborg is a Camphill community. People with special needs, co-workers (unsalaried workers) and their families live and work together in the village. Everybody contributes to the life of the community according to his or her ability to do so. About fifty

Volunteers will work in an outdoors education centre place near the river of Taleja. They will work in a group with volunteers from other countries. Their tasks will be to establish an appropriate environment for seminars and training. Including building campsite and picnic areas and possibly activity provisions. Volunteers will plan and create new ideas for facilities by themselves. This project takes place at ‘La Camoin’, a centre holding creative workshop for people of all ages and abilities. They hold workshop in painting, pottery, engraving, design... and just about anything creative. Compagnons Batisseurs construction/conservation camp
Compagnons Batisseurs was born in the 1950’s; the aim of the project was to help rebuild homes and communities that had been hit hard by WorldWar II. During these summer work camps volunteers task will be to help improve better conditions of life for families in social difficulties, construction camps to create social centres (these can range from cabins in the mountains to buildings that host courses and provide accommodation) work camps for environmental protection or rehabilitation of sites of national heritage. The association works organizing leisure time activities, cultural and free time activities, youth exchanges, and supporting the creative workshops.
