Inspired by the bible verse Mark chapter 9 verse 22 “Everything is Possible…….for those who believe” and organisations & individuals constantly saying “That’s not possible” when told of our plans to send homeless people abroad on youth exchanges, host young people recently released from prison on volunteering projects or offer the opportunity for young parents from different countries to come together to share different cultures & ideas of parenting,
In January 1998 the concept of Everything’s Possible was developed, that, actually Everything is Possible, with a great deal of support, often a fairly long time frame, some measured risk taking & possibly uncertainty until the last moments… all young people can have an international experience… this was to be followed by the conception of the Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) Everything’s Possible.
Over the last ten years, Everything’s Possible has developed from being a small part-time organisation, run from a spare bedroom, to an active (still fairly small) organisation, but with a real office having a massive impact on the lives of young people most of whom are on the margins of society. We started with one partner in Norway and now work across all of Europe, Latin America, Africa, India & the Caribbean offering as diverse experiences as possible to a group of young people who previously had little or no chance to travel.
Although we are not exclusive in the young people we will support, our primary target group is young people with less opportunities, those young people who often don’t believe in themselves. We have proved time and time again over the last ten years that if we believe in them, and can ignite a belief in themselves, after this first experience, and our on-going support, the months and years that follow allow these young people to influence their own futures possibly in a different direction to the way there were heading.
Our projects offer opportunities for young people between the ages of 13 and 30 (depending on the individual programme) please read on to see if this is something we can offer for, you, your children, or young people you support.
Those of you who do not fall into our main target group, please read on, we also have experiences we target at young people who have not had less opportunities in their lives, so if you are studying at university or working, Everything’s Possible could still be the right organisation for you. We have opportunities for you to volunteer abroad for between 2 & 12 months, maybe you would be interested in volunteering with us in Leeds during your studies or perhaps you would like to mentor a young person who has recently been released from prison and will be travelling abroad in a couple of months… top
