Youth Exchange

Quote from YOUTH IN ACTION

2007-2013 guide:

“Youth Exchanges offer an opportunity for groups of young people aged 13 to 25 from different countries to meet and learn about each other’s cultures. The groups plan together their Youth Exchange around a theme of mutual interest.”

Everything’s Possible supports groups of young people interested in experiencing a new culture & developing a project with a specific theme with one or more like minded groups in other countries.

Summer 2009 we hosted a Youth Exchange "Emergency on Planet Earth" - 40 Participants from Estonia, Spain, Portugal and Germany were hosted by ourselves and our Bradford based partner Positive Futures. We enjoyed a week of activities around sustainability and using the earth's natural resources wisely. Activities included a slavaging day at Leeds Festival to reclaim unwanted useable camping equipment, which we then used for a camp and trek where the groups learnt survival and bushcraft skills and shared cultural activities from their own countries.

During 2007 we hosted a youth exchange for young parents around parenting skills in Buxton (in the peak district)
