Future Capital

Are you an EVS volunteer? Have you finished your project or are you due to in the next few months?

Future Capital is a grant of up to €5,000 which all EVS volunteers under 26 years who have completed an EVS project can apply for.  The grant enables you to prepare your own project, which can benefit you and your local community.

Example of Future Capital applications which have been funded are:

  • Photography, Music & Cultural workshops, which are aimed at including young people with fewer opportunities.

  • Producing a video showing different host projects in different countries to promote EVS opportunities to British young people

  • Developing an IT training course specifically for Caribbean elders, in order to offer them computer training and use of the internet

Currently Everything’s Possible are running a number of workshops to promote Future Capital, and encourage volunteers with good ideas to apply

The workshops will take place over half a day, usually in the afternoon, and the timetable will look something like this:

  • 13.00 - Arrivals & Coffee

  • 13.15 - Introductions & Overview (where possible by Josie from Connect Youth – responsible for Action 3 in the UK)

  • 13.30 - Examples of successful (usually delivered by a successful ex-volunteer)

  • 14.00 - Work through the application, giving hints & tips on how to make a successful application.

  • 15.00 - Coffee followed by optional individual surgery sessions, for those ready to submit an application.

Please note we will send you out information once you have registered for a workshop.

Workshops will be running in the North & South of England, in London & Scotland so hopefully there will be one not too far from you.

PLEASE NOTE: Unfortunately due to new European Commission restrictions, volunteers over the age of 25 are no longer eligible to apply for Future Capital.
