Do not be put off by the commission's definition. This programme is the same as Long-term EVS, except for three main features:

You can enjoy an experience from three weeks to six months. This will hopefully help you to decide if EVS is for you, rather than finding yourself in a long-term project which you may not enjoy. Don't go blind!

After this short-term EVS activity you can then enjoy a further experience on a long-term project. (Volunteers who start on a long-term activity can only have one EVS experience, but you get two chances – and these can be in different countries. It is also possible that you may choose to return to the same project.

The support and training offered to you will be individual and specific to the needs which you identify, and support offered to you will complement both your current situation and your future plans. You will also receive regular contact from us through our 'Webcam means we can' project, funded by Connect Youth International.
